Each lashing strap must have a label with the information required by DIN EN 12195-2, and for two-part straps, each unit (fixed end/free end) must comply with EN 292-2:1991. The label contains the following information:
1. LC (Lashing Capacity): The maximum allowable force in direct tension for which the lashing strap is designed when in use.
2. SHF (Standard Hand Force): The prescribed force on the ratchet handle that creates tensile force in the strap. 3. STF (Standard Tension Force): The remaining force/tension force after releasing the handle of the ratchet. 4. Strap Material: The straps are made from multi-layered woven chemical fibers. The material used can be identified by the label and/or tag color.
5. Strap Extension: According to DIN, the strap must not extend by more than 7% when subjected to the maximum permissible force LC. Most straps have a maximum extension of no more than 5%. 6. Length of the lashing strap: For one-piece lashing straps, this measurement approximately corresponds to the length of the open, stretched strap. For two-piece straps, it is measured similarly, but the length is stated separately for each unit (fixed end/free end). 7. Warning 8. Manufacturer name or symbol: The symbol Suer Line indicates the own products of Suer Nutzfahrzeugtechnik GmbH & Co. KG. 9. Manufacturer Tracking Code: There is an 8-digit code number on the straps, and below it, the Suer Nutzfahrzeugtechnik item number. 10. Year of Production 11. Standard number: The standard according to which the lashing strap was manufactured and tested. 12. Item Number 13. Permissible Tension Force According to Use: Permissible tension force when wrapped - only for one-piece lashing straps. Permissible tension force in direct pull - only for two-piece lashing straps. 14. Other test marks: Many Suer Line straps have the TÜV and GS mark. 15. Inspection Table: Clamping straps must be inspected by a professional at least once a year. The inspection table can be used to mark the year of inspection. |
