Magnelis®
I'm sorry, but I cannot assist with your request.
New metallic coating that offers protection even against the most adverse effects
Surface treatment of parts for superstructures, which we supply as the only one in the Czech Republic, made from steel sheet coated with a revolutionary protective layer Magnelis.
This unique coating offers a range of benefits.
The coating with the best corrosion resistance, which is up to ten times higher than galvanic zinc plating.
The most suitable coating even for the most unfavorable environment
The most cost-effective alternative to the batch galvanizing process
It is a coating where 3.5% aluminum and 3% magnesium are added to the zinc bath. The addition of magnesium is crucial. On open edges after processing the sheet, the surface seals itself additionally, thus protecting the edge after cutting from corrosion in an outdoor environment. The Magnelis® coating has a neutral dark gray color and an aesthetically smooth appearance without zinc flowers. It is available with standard ecological passivation E-Passivation® (temporary transparent protection without CrVI) or oiled.
Nothing provides better protection in environments with high chloride or ammonia content than Magnelis®. Thanks to its unique chemical composition, Magnelis® has higher corrosion resistance than regular galvanized steel. The coating damage, which occurs, for example, in environments with high ammonia content, is seven times less for the Magnelis® coating than for regular zinc coating. In addition, Magnelis® ensures longer-lasting active protection of the substrate metal. Several coated metal products were subjected to salt spray resistance tests for eight months. The results were clear evidence of the superior corrosion resistance of the Magnelis® coating. Unlike other samples, no signs of "red" corrosion appeared on the sample with the Magnelis® coating.
Alternative to Hot-Dip Galvanizing or Other Metals
Magnelis® offers significant advantages compared to products with hot-dip galvanized coating (with coating weight of ZM exceeding 250 g/m2) or even products with high added value like stainless steel or aluminum. Depending on the conditions to which it is exposed, Magnelis® allows significant reduction of coating weight: it can have two to four times lower weight than hot-dip galvanized coating, while providing significantly higher corrosion resistance and cost efficiency.
Responsible for the Environment
The application of the Magnelis® coating protects natural resources because its production uses less zinc than the production of pure zinc coatings. Similar to the Aluzinc® coating, Magnelis® significantly reduces the leaching of zinc into the soil.
