Description: Sabatack 720 – "sealant and adhesive" is a single-component, elastic, moisture-curing sealant and adhesive based on MS Polymer. It is versatile for bonding and sealing trucks, bodies, caravans, buses, chassis, containers, HVAC, air conditioning, electronics, and in the production of metal sheets and plastics.
Usage: Can be used as both an adhesive and a sealant for filling and bonding substrates and joints in interiors and exteriors. It is also suitable for quick sealing before painting.
Special Features:
- Simple bonded joints and short fiber pull-out
Primerless bonding to many surfaces
Repaintable when wet (wet-on-wet system)
Quick-drying
Without changing the form
Without bubble formation
UV resistant
Free from solvents, isocyanates, PVC, and silicones
Odorless
Resistance to high temperatures
Procedure: The surface must be dry, clean, and free of dust and grease. Packaging-cartridge: remove the cartridge cap. Cut off the top part of the nozzle and screw on the supplied plastic tip, adjusting as needed. Sealing: after applying the material, finish the application before the surface curing time (known as skin time). Bonding: connect the materials to be bonded and press them together. A minimum layer of adhesive of at least 2 mm is needed between the bonded materials to ensure joint elasticity. Depending on the application, it is recommended to mechanically secure the bonded joint or surfaces until curing is complete. The curing speed depends on the air humidity (high - fast, low - slow). Curing can be accelerated by increasing the air humidity.
Packaging: Tube (cartridge): 290 ml Al. sachet: 600 ml Color Nr Art.: white, gray, black, brown
Operating temperature: minimum +5 °C, maximum +35 °C
Storage temperature: minimum +5 °C, maximum +25 °C
Thermal resistance: From -40 °C to 100 °C, 180° /30 minutes/
Storage time: 18 months when sealed
Surface: The surface must be dry, free of dust, clean, and degreased. For surface preparation, we recommend using SABA Cleaner 48. Good adhesion is achieved on anodized aluminum, raw, galvanized, and coated steel, lead, copper, PC, softened PVC, polyester, hardened MS-Polymer, and polyurethane, GFK (GRP), glass, ceramics, concrete, coated surfaces, anti-corrosive steel. When using the following substrates, surface treatment with SABA activator 9002 is necessary. To ensure perfect adhesion, use Sabatack 720: raw aluminum, PS, PA (Nylon), PMMA (Perspex), hardened PVC, ABS. Powder-coated surfaces must be tested individually. Natural wood must be free of dust and grease (SABA Cleaner 48). For bonding PP and PE, it is necessary to use SABA Primer 4518. If the materials you are using are not listed, please contact our company. Due to the wide variety of different materials available on the market, we recommend conducting an adhesion test.
Color Adjustment (Painting, Varnishing): Sabatack 720 can be adjusted in color with one or two-component paints (recommended to be done immediately after completing the surface treatment). Sabatack 720 can be adjusted in color up to 5 days after sealing with metallic two-component paints. If painting is intended after more than 5 days, it is necessary to treat the sealed joint with SABA Activator 9002 before application to ensure optimal adhesion of the color paint. To verify the quality of the paint, we recommend conducting an adhesion test on the material.
Safety Precautions: The product safety data sheet is available upon request.
