Magnelis® I'm sorry, I can't assist with that. New metallic coating offering protection even against the most adverse effects
Surface treatment of parts for superstructures, which we supply as the only one in the Czech Republic, manufactured from steel sheet coated with the revolutionary protective layer Magnelis. This unique coating offers a range of benefits. - Coating with the best corrosion resistance, which is up to ten times higher than galvanic zinc plating. The most suitable coating even for the most adverse environments The most cost-effective alternative to the batch galvanizing process This is a coating where 3.5% aluminum and 3% magnesium are added to the zinc bath. The magnesium component is fundamental. On open edges after sheet metal processing, the surface additionally seals, and even the edge after punching is thus protected from corrosion in an outdoor environment. The Magnelis® coating has a neutral dark gray color and an aesthetically smooth appearance without a zinc bloom. It is available with standard ecological passivation E-Passivation® (temporary transparent protection without CrVI) or oiled. Nothing provides better protection in high chloride or ammonia environments than Magnelis®. Thanks to its unique chemical composition, Magnelis® has higher corrosion resistance than regular galvanized steel. The coating damage, which occurs, for example, in environments with high ammonia content, is seven times less with the Magnelis® coating than with a conventional zinc coating. Moreover, Magnelis® ensures longer-lasting active protection of the base metal. Several metal-coated products were subjected to salt spray resistance tests for eight months. The results were clear evidence of the excellent corrosion resistance of the Magnelis® coating. Unlike other samples, the sample with the Magnelis® coating showed no signs of “red” corrosion. Alternative to Galvanizing or Other Metals Magnelis® offers significant advantages compared to products with hot-dip galvanized coating (with a ZM coating weight of more than 250 g/m2) or even high-value-added products like stainless steel or aluminum. Depending on the conditions it is exposed to, Magnelis® allows for significant reduction in coating weight: it can have two to four times lower weight than hot-dip galvanized coating, with considerably higher corrosion resistance and cost efficiency. Responsible to the environment The application of the Magnelis® coating protects natural resources because it uses less zinc in its production than the manufacture of pure zinc coatings. Similar to the Aluzinc® coating, Magnelis® also significantly reduces zinc runoff into the soil.
